Overcoming the Challenges of Covid19 to Build a Global Health Legacy. The program was globally webcast with over 500 viewers and co-sponsored by the Medical Association of Georgia, Shriners Children Hospital, the United Advanced Practice Nurses Association, and the Morehouse School of Medicine. Rotary Sponsors included the Roswell Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of North Atlanta along with RCEC.Dr. Patrice Harris, the Immediate Past President of the American Medical Association gave her insights on national and global health issues; Drs. John Vertefeuille and Steve Cochi of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention along with Carol Pandak of Rotary International presented updates on global polio eradication during the Covid-19 outbreak: Dr. Scott Kozin of Shiners Children Hospital-Philadelphia review his research progress on Acute Flaccid Myelitis (often called the new polio); and, Brittaney Bethea of Morehouse School of Medicine lectured on Covid-19 program outreach strategies.
